D3 – BetterPoints

BetterPoints was founded in 2010 because we wanted to find ways of motivating greater numbers of people to adopt sustainable and positive social behaviours. We work with public bodies and private companies to build programmes of engagement that result in a tangible change of behaviour, such as commuting by bicycle instead of by car, or walking for at least 150 minutes a week.

We want to see the best social innovations become standard practice. That’s why we built a system of tools for designing and managing interventions that encourage behaviour change and generate hard evidence. Our motivational, user-facing smartphone app is managed and driven by our highly-evolved digital platform, which is underpinned by behaviour change research and best practice.

Our Behaviour Change Management System has been applied to a range of interventions in areas such as public health, environment and transport.
